Therapeutic Approaches

While Dr. Pollard's primary focus is neuropsychological assessment, he does provide psychotherapeutic services.  He draws from cognitive behavioral and dialectic behavioral approaches within a backdrop of psychodynamic and existential-humanistic psychology, serving primarily adult and geriatric populations.  Typical target issues include mood, anxiety and behavioral concerns elicited by normative lifespan challenges, as well as similar issues driven by personality and medical issues, especially neurological disorders. Psychotherapy is typically preceded by comprehensive psychological and/or neuropsychological assessment.
